Inline Skating Products Business Plan

Pegasus Sports International, the world’s leading inline skate accessory manufacturer, is proud to be a part of the international inline skate community. Pegasus has three new and useful skate accessories. Pegasus can produce high-quality products as the company is made up of skaters who make products for skaters. Pegasus will quickly gain market penetration and establish themselves as an innovative inline skating product company.

Pegasus is a limited partnership located in Venice, CA. Venice was strategically chosen as a location to provide Pegasus with reliable product feedback. Venice is often considered the capital city of inline skating.

The Products

Pegasus currently stocks three products or is soon to release them. BladeBoots(tm) is the first. This fabric wheel cover allows skaters access to retail shops and other places, while also protecting their skates from any surface. Pegasus’ second product is SkateSail, an innovative product that has created a new niche sport that combines inline skating and windsurfing. Pegasus is not only releasing this product, but they support and grow the sport as a legitimate extension to inline skating. Their last product is SkateAid.

Market

Pegasus will provide useful accessories to the growing market for inline skating. Over 31 million pairs have been sold. Pegasus plans to target the recreational and competitive skaters with 26 million. Pegasus’ market can be divided into five segments: speed, recreational, speed, hockey and extreme skaters.

Management Team

Pegasus’#8217 success is based on the fact that skaters are the core of the company. The products are made for skaters and the entire company lives and breathes line skating. Sal Chavez, the CEO, has 23 years’ experience in skating. He’s so passionate about skating that he no more owns an automobile. Instead, he commutes by using inline skates. Sal has worked in design for three different companies. Sal has also spent years in retail environments giving him first hand knowledge of skater’s preference.

Sandi Arnold is Pegasus’ Vice President and is also a true enthusiast. Sandi has seven-years of experience in product management at Rollerblade. Pegasus is supported by Beth Laird as Administrator and Web Master. Pegasus will benefit greatly from Beth’s computer skills. Beth was a member of Inline Skating Today, an industry newsletter that is highly regarded on the Internet.

Pegasus can be described as an exciting business. It uses employees’ passions and promotes the sport by inline skating. Pegasus should be profitable by month three.
